SnoozeMe, Find That Snooze Button Faster! Posted: 17 Dec 2008 01:13 AM PST Does this situation sound familiar? You’re sleeping wonderfully and just can’t bother waking up immediately when the alarm clock goes off - so you just push the snooze button and get right back to leaping sheep land. Sometimes I can’t even find the snooze button so my hand just sorta smacks around in the general vicinity until the alarm shuts off. SnoozeMe offers a less jarring snooze experience because it’s a plushie you sleep with. The integrated fabric buttons are easy to handle and lets you choose from 5 different types of music. Cuddle it, squeeze it, and when it’s officially time to wake up, the giant snooze button is right there in front of you. Hell you don’t even have to press it, just lay your head on it. 35-H Lounger Makes The Embody Look Like A Nerd Posted: 17 Dec 2008 01:12 AM PST With all the comfort of Herman Miller’s Embody with none of its neurotic over-engineering, the 35 H Lounger from Designer Frédéric Sofia lets the eye rest easy on the smooth leather lines of this gorgeous relaxation machine. Typically an assortment of adjustment handles will litter chairs’ undercarriages, but Frédéric opted to house the controls in the armrests themselves, keeping the overall form very clean. So while it may look overly simplistic, there remain four pneumatic jacks to keep your back and butt in perfect alignment at all times. Availability: Ligne Roset Designer: Frederic Sofia No Tags |
Posted: 17 Dec 2008 01:02 AM PST Gamerox is a new concept in game seating, designed for younger computer game users. Its unique design and patented mechanisms encourage full 3D body movement during game play. As well as creating a more exciting, interactive gaming experience, this movement improves circulation and aids muscle and skeletal development. Gamerox also assists in the development of coordination, balance and spatial awareness. The seat design encourages a dynamic upright sitting position so slouchers beware. The idea for Gamerox was conceived by designer Tim Briggs after watching his younger cousin moving constantly while sitting playing computer games. The idea became Tim's Industrial Design major project and earned him a first class honours degree from the National College of Art and Design in Dublin. After finishing college Tim met with seasoned designer and entrepreneur Brendan Farrell, who immediately understood and shared his vision for the new game chair concept. They agreed to collaborate together in the development of a new design and to create a new business. In early 2008, with some well needed venture capital from David Crawford the idea became a reality and the company 4WE3 Innovations Limited was established. This is technically a concept that’s ready to go into production. The company says they’re looking to hit retail sometime next year. In the meantime, we’ll try to get one in for review and even tho I’m no kid, that seat looks plenty wide enough for my big adult arse. Designer: Tim Briggs [ Via: CrunchGear ] Tim Briggs |
Clothes Hangers + Plastic Bag = Trash Can Posted: 17 Dec 2008 12:00 AM PST Optimally, I would have a plastic trashcan with basketball hoop 10 feet away at all times. Unfortunately, my trashcans typically consist of shopping bags or unused secondary packaging, a reality that gives the Trash Bag Holder from Chen & Karlsson great impact in the context of our makeshift lives. Never mind the holder’s promotion of “re-use” (the best of all the Three R’s), all it needs now is another clothes-hanger above all the rest for the basketball hoop.
