Un-clutter Your Rooftop For Santa Posted: 06 Mar 2009 02:00 AM PST Every year Santa lands on my roof and manages to screw up my TV antenna's position and thereby ruining the reception. Is it asking too much from him to park his reindeer on my neighbor's roof instead? Since my pleas to him are falling on deaf ears, I'm gonna be well prepared for 2009. I'm going to get myself this sexy-techie-named-thing: The Laser Beam Frequency Collection Device! This smart device measures only 6 inches across and is made from very durable materials. Powered by solar energy for day use and relying a rechargeable battery for nighttime, the thing catches perfecto signals even during rough weathers. Discreet and simple, hopefully Santa will like this cutsie and will graciously sidestep it! Designer: IDEA No Tags |
Earplugs Become A Battery And Then Charge Posted: 06 Mar 2009 01:36 AM PST This isn't another case of identity crisis, it's just that the B-headphones transform to AA batteries! What I'm telling you here is that these headphones come in 3 pieces: two earbuds and a housing case. Plug the two earbuds on both the ends of the housing… and pesto! you got yourself an AA battery. Now put that battery into the main charging station and recharge the Bluetooth buds! A telltale light indicator lets you know when they are juiced up so that you can pop them out and use them again. Did I mention WICKED IDEA! Designer: Qian Jiang No Tags |
Finally A USB Body Implant for Hardcore Transfer Posted: 06 Mar 2009 12:02 AM PST You’ve got no excuse, design student, I know you put that file in your finger last Tuesday. Oh, your finger is corrupt? That’s a tough break. I hope you got the clip-in version. Uh-oh, permanent? Harsh. Better get that chopped off and replaced further up your arm. Gonna have to call you Anakin pretty soon. Yes, that is a USB device in place of a fingertip. Purely a “visualization” project, yet in an age where a person can have their entire anatomy changed, how far off can this be? When does the machine become the body? What would you have implanted? I’d like a WIFI detecting fingernail. Designer: Alberto Villarreal of Zanic Design No Tags |
Posted: 06 Mar 2009 12:00 AM PST Totally inspired by John Lautner's villa Chemosphere, this modern version of a spaceship house is simply fantastic. The only difference is that John's version was stationary and this one's a trailer. The beauty of this house-on-wheels lies in the fact that its compact and yet boats of ample living quarters. You will find a bathroom, living room, bedroom, kitchen and an office in the 252° Living Area: Mobile Mini House. The entire setup of the trailer is based on the rooms fanning out to a 252° radius. The mobile walls and floor of each unit run on rails and can be slid open easily. Just like you open one of those Japanese fans, open up this trailer from under its protective shell and set up your mobile house. It's as simple as that! Oh, I forgot to mention that there is a sliding screen that encapsulates the house, to secure it and keep the elements at bay. I have never done the trailer thing, but I know it must be fun to use one during those camping trips. If I were to get one, this would probably be it.
