Posted: 01 Apr 2009 12:35 AM PDT I think very few people have ventured into concepts regarding the mouse let alone an Apple Mouse. So naturally when I came across this slim-trim device I was tempted to prod further. Besides looking AWSOME, the Apple Slim Mouse packs in Bluetooth and switches between trackball (400dpi) and laser (1600dpi) with a micro adjustment. Smooth sailing is what you get, and the options of aluminum or plastic finishes. BTW, I wonder why would anyone want to design a trackball mouse in this day and age! Designer: Tryi Yeh No Tags |
Let’s Spill Some Pics And Splash Some Music Posted: 01 Apr 2009 12:08 AM PDT Every time I have to do a Mac post I get butterflies in my stomach, coz you guys laud him too much or pan him badly! Either ways, I'm a big fan of concepts, hence here we go again. On the platter is the iAcqua iPhone Dock with a transparent touch screen, speakers and a projector. Place your phone on the top slot and tilt it slowly to either side (like a faucet) to access your photos, songs or movies. Amazingly all the icon images cascade down randomly like the flow of water. Touch a particular icon (before it disappears) to access it. Wanna have some fun? Play around with the dock and you will realize that if you turn up the faucet (iPhone actually) and the icon images spill onto the floor via the projector fitted in the stand. You can even maneuver the stand a bit to spill the images to a particular spot and view larger picture this way. Play that funky music and spill the visualizer to the floor! Is this Starfox on Wheels? Polygonal! Posted: 01 Apr 2009 12:01 AM PDT Get your Somersaults, Bombs, and Barrel Rolls all gathered up, folks, cause here’s the “Polygon Hot Rod.” From an old face with mad new ideas, designer Adam Zerbib brings this aesthetic-heavy concept to the streets, but not to the race track. Zerbib mentions wind-tunnel trials but tells them off as a limit! Check the words of Zerbib out:
Zerbib hopes to inspire other designers to be more free with their car concepts. Zerbib hopes designers will no longer allow things such racetrack-speed prohibit the acceptable aesthetics of the car industry. Designer: Adam Zerbib of Zarb Design No Tags |
Posted: 01 Apr 2009 12:00 AM PDT Have you ever played the game Coffee Pot? Well it goes like this; you're supposed to substitute a verb for the word Coffee Pot and your friends try and guess the word by asking questions related to the action. For example "I'm Coffee Potting Now!" (WRITING!) With no relation to this game, let me tell you about this ecological coffee machine called Cocoon. It is an insulated hollow pot that conserves the heat for a longer time, thereby reducing the need to re-heat coffee often. Made of twin-spherical bowls, the water is heated via induction in the outer sphere and a pump in the handhold transports the warm water to the filter and finally the ready coffee drips into the inner sphere. The resulting cavity (where the water was before) between the both spheres, now serves as a natural insulator and keeps the coffee warm. Moving on, if you like the game…will you Coffee Pot with me? Water Generates Free Personal Electricity Posted: 31 Mar 2009 04:20 PM PDT You say you live in an apartment complex where you pay for your rent + electricity, and that’s it? Check it out. You get yourself one of these bad boys, (or 2, or 3,) and hook them up to the water pipes, and bam! Your on the slick road to free home electricity. It’s the “Mini Hydro Turbine” from Yanko frequent Jin Woo Han. Don’t mix up the cords! The Mini Hydro Turbine can be attached to the end of your faucet or between two pipes. It’s designed to attach to any pipe to make use of water pressure in basically any instance. The water runs through the device, activating the hydroelectronic turbine as it does so. Energy is stored up in the electricity generator, which is connected to the plug socket. The plug socket’s connected to any number of fun amazing Yanko gizmo (or any non-Yanko device, if you’re lame,) and the gizmo is powered up! Barring the inevitable need to replace the turbine on occasion, and of course, supposing this lovely device works like a charm: yes please! Designer: Jin Woo Han No Tags |
