Posted: 03 Feb 2010 05:44 AM PST

It's a slack Wednesday, plum in the middle of the week. Let's spice it up with a round of the ever famous Guessing Game! What do you think this is my friend…come let me Reveal (HINT) it to you….

It's the Reveal Watch! An analog watch that reads time in a digital format! What's cute about it is that the old time fades out to reveal the new moment! This video below will explain it better. Always be in the present moment….Reveal is available in Black & Steel finishes in mesh and leather straps.

Sleep Tight My Love

Posted: 03 Feb 2010 05:14 AM PST

Just a pillow to lay my head to rest on, ah if only life were that simple! Sometimes we need to indulge in hoodwinking practices to rest our minds and body, fool them with external forces. The Pillow's Degree Celsius falls prime into this category. It's got heating, massager, aroma dispenser and solar charging options. All for the benefit of a good night's sleep! Counting sheep and meditation be damned!

Lighter Side Of Sketching

One of the features that designers are going to sorely miss in the iPad is sketching straight onto the tablet. Many of us anticipated this element to be included, but sadly it's not. So it's back to the basics of getting back to pen and paper…or if you'd much rather fancy a Computer Notebook! Notebook Sketchbook it is!

Frame Your Life!

Posted: 03 Feb 2010 12:20 AM PST

This! Is! Your! Frame life! In this new concept by Cho hyung suk, you too can get a new frame for your life! As seen in these two fabulously new concept bits for furniture, the Frame Sofa and the Frame Table, you too can get your life totally framed up! Remember these three easy-to-remember numbers: 740, 890, and 200! That’s all you’ve got to know! For the win!

See the table. See the chair. Notice anything similar? It’s that frame! What better way to make a nice home interior that’s all tied together than to use that one simple building block, that one thing that makes everything related to everything else? Frame it up!

Made specifically for boards of directors to look really awesome sitting in.

Frame sofa: 740*890*640(H)
Frame table: 740*890*200(H)
Material: sts steel pipe, fabric

Spot of Lamp for You Darling?

Perhaps a dash of second-hand cups? That’s what this installation is made up of. There’s nothing more “green” in the world, in my mind, than re-using items that have been discarded by another person. Not necessarily discarded in this case, as these cups were certainly taken from places other than a garbage can. More like goodwill shops and all that. Each cup’s got a hole punched up the bottom of it, light put in, at the end of a rod. Lovely!

Now these were installed for an exhibition as run by a local power company in Stuggart, but can’t you just see them selling out in the stores as hand-crafted “Tea Lights”? Definitely they’d be running off the racks where I’m writing this from, Minneapolis Minnesota.

Very pretty!

One Gee’d Up Blade

Posted: 03 Feb 2010 12:01 AM PST

This is a revival of the scariest bathroom tool ever created by mankind. The butterfly knife. And in this case, it’s made to be used only on the throat and the face. Not for killing! For shaving. Designer George Christou is very disturbed with the idea that the butterfly knife to the throat for shaving or, as he calls it, the “art of shaving” ritual, is about to be gone forever! So he made a new one!

Christou frowns upon the ease and sissiness – (see: weak, non-manly, smart) of modern day shaving tools. So! He’s reviving the butterfly knife for it’s large, dynamic blade, dual handles, and ability to be customized and extended. The use of this product, he says, takes time, skill, and effort in order to master.

And it is called the “G Blade.”

Not allowed in my house! Too scary!

NOTE: but I should mention that it is also very beautiful, and certainly would be quite the magical feat to master.
