A Futuristic Ferrari. Speed is a Given but Automated

Posted: 18 Aug 2008 01:49 PM CDT

Designer Iman Maghsoudi believes driving cars in the future will be akin to operating a PC while traveling 200 km/h. Humans lacks the concentration and dexterity required to handle such a task but the inevitably of hyper-computerized vehicles is a truth we can’t avoid. Monza is built for speed but smart enough to drive itself.

At slower speeds, the “pilot” sits in a cockpit similar to straddling your office chair like a motorcycle and has full control. Once you exceed a specified speed limit, the computer takes over. The vehicle changes shape resembling an airfoil for maximum aerodynamics. The design creates lift to reduce friction and strong ground effects keep you from taking off. The 2 manta ray like fins adjust to channel air smoothly across the vehicle while also serving to make you look totally bad ass!

I’ll take 2 thanks.

Compose Music All High Tech Like

Posted: 18 Aug 2008 01:34 PM CDT

Have you ever caught yourself whistling a made up tune and thought to yourself, “hey this could be a hit song!” Those moments of inspiration are fleeting but with the Compose concept, you can compose anywhere.

The pen acts as a mic you sing into. When docked into the digital paper tablet, your vocal harmonies are automatically transcribed into a score. For the old schooler, you can write directly on the display. It also contains libraries for an entire orchestra so once your composition is finished, just sit back and enjoy.

Teapot Wants to be an Ostrich

Posted: 18 Aug 2008 01:13 PM CDT

A quick glance at the Avestruz Tea Set and it may not be apparent it’s inspired by an ostrich with its head in the ground. A novel idea that serves no intrinsic value but the aesthetic is kind of charming don’t you think. My only question is if the handle is the neck, then the spout is the…?
