The Marino 52 Luxury At High Seas

Posted: 06 Oct 2009 04:41 AM PDT

Step into the Alfra Vico Luxury Motor Yacht Marino 52, and you're sure to be floored by its stunningly simple design and interiors. Boasting of modern gadgetry to make sure you kiss high-speeds effortlessly, the yacht is envisioned as 'motion art' of the highest echelon. From the cleats to the projectile anchor, to the convertible exterior lounge-sofas/daybeds, to the fully computer-controlled helm station, the Marino 52 screams extravagance! We also discovered that Alfra Vico opted to invent and purpose-build new patent-pending electronic control systems, mechanizations, cleats, and other essential functional elements.

Awesomely stunning visuals as well! Check out the full details here.

Roasting Marshmallows In The Vulcan

Posted: 06 Oct 2009 12:02 AM PDT

Citing space-crunch as a major issue with matchbox homes, the Vulcan Stove Fireplace adapts itself to this reason, but that alone should not be the criteria for liking it. A warm fireplace but totally utilitarian, it hosts numerous shelves for your things and has the potential to be the focal point of your living space. In practical times as these, where electric heaters and radiators vie for equal attention; a warm, cozy, functional fireplace as this makes me all mushy and crave winter.

The Woofer Power of a BEAR

Posted: 06 Oct 2009 12:01 AM PDT

Behold, if you DARE, the Eco Woof; the sub-woofer that’s got the woofer power of a BEAR! But CHILL! There is no bear actually powering the “Eco-Woof,” only the power of glass domes. Where wood boxing would normally hold the raw beats exploded forth from the speakers, glass domes and downward facing blasters suffice. The wood grain is so very classy, wouldn’t you say? Oh, and there’s green in it, too!

From here it gets cryptic. As you may well know, many of the submissions and discoveries Yanko gets and makes are made by people who speak limited english. This is one of those times. So as an added attraction for this post, the details of the speakers are translated here in their original state:

extra from designer :
felt wooden, felt flexible, so i laced this 2.1 audio speaker system,
marterials:
VINYL PRINT ON MOLD (GLOSS COAT
MOLD - FROM ECO FRIENDLY MARTERIAL : GANESHA (hollow not solid to preserve dome effect)

Wild, huh? Speakers made of our elephant deity friend Ganesha?

Tell me what you think!

*NOTE to the wise: I don’t believe the bear being reflected on the woofer is meant to be seen as a printed image, rather as a reflection of the power of the sound. So, that in mind, remember this year when you’re celebrating “Bear Week,” you need to celebrate with your very own Eco-Woof speaker system.

Your Own Personal X-Ray Machine

Posted: 06 Oct 2009 12:00 AM PDT

So you say you need a portable x-ray machine. Well. Let me tell you about this particular one. It’s called “RAY”, it’s designed by Cavallius Design group, and it’s just so very compact. Let’s say you’re on a camping trip, and you’ve got a generator with, but no x-ray machine! Well now you do! Let’s say you’re at the skate park and you’ve broken every bone in your body, and you want to see how bad it is, as soon as possible! Well now that time is cut in half! Just bust out your very own RAY!

Cavallius Design has all your transportable x-rays in one handy machine. It’s not as accurate as the gigantic machines used at the doctors office, but it works with your average household power and is controlled with any laptop. Just put the image plate under the broken bone, expose with the machine, and wowie! Instant image.

Extra notes: RAY Portable X-Ray System was designed in collaboration with NASA Johnson Space Center made with Jacob von Matern.
