Curvy Bike

Posted: 08 Oct 2009 12:50 AM PDT

How would you re-define a bike? Tinker with it to get greater speed and performance? The curvy Hidemax Cycle is born out of the notion to enhance speed, functionality, looks, comfort, resistance and durability. In short it tries to address all major issues that bog a bicycle designer. Here's what it's got: adjustable height achieved by loosening the grip apparatus around the steering wheel. Instead of an up/down axis, the saddle of the bike can be adjusted to left/right through its 2 different joint points. The design includes Twins Shock Absorbers that are placed onto the back of the bicycle so that you can enjoy a bump-free ride!

Sugar Pot Honey Pot Cutlery…Set

Posted: 08 Oct 2009 12:05 AM PDT

Designer Johanna Hartzheim here explores in three kitchen items my favorite thing in the whole world: Simplicity. We’ve got here (as the title suggests) a sugar pot, a honey pot, and a set of cutlery. Exciting! Each of the three items in question were explored as far as their context of usage, their situation at the dinner table, and their formal integration (the normal stuff such as materials, functions, and yes! Symbolism.)

Don’t worry! Limited philosophy included.

The honey pot: like a bottle of bubbles, this honey pot includes the distribution tool. Avoiding the usual stickiness of the tool and the cap, they’re made into one single thing. And the whole thing looks like a drop. Cute!

The flatwear: this cutlery set slips into itself, each one of the three, fork, spoon, and knife, creating a single presentable object for nice setting of the table.

The sugar pot: it’s made of beechwood! Which is pretty by itself, but then when you take the top off, it’s a stunning medium blue! Oh and philosophically, their forms flow in a beautifully environment enriching flow of the mind to the cap to the spoon to the sugar.

One Tent Two Tent One Tent

Posted: 08 Oct 2009 12:01 AM PDT

So! Winter is well on it’s way. There’s no way around it. As the world turns, so do the seasons *unless you don’t live in Minnesota, and you’ve got to understand that camping season is almost over! So make the best of it with the greatest tent invention since the tent itself: the tent connection device. Called “Abri Socio” by its mad-scientist creator, it will change the way you camp… FOREVER!

The mad scientist who created this camp-changing device is named Becky Greenwood. She’s got this idea that will bring camping people closer together without sacrificing their privacy.

It works by connecting two “two man” tents with a helpful storage container for tools and crackers and beers and such. Once camping is complete, the bag functions like a normal “extra” camping bag, creating a larger space to hold the tent than the bag that it comes with, making it twice as fast to pack up.

Get sociable!

Guessing Game Deuce

Posted: 08 Oct 2009 12:01 AM PDT

We have only this on YD once before, right now we're gonna go ahead and play the GUESSING GAME again, RIGHT NOW!

Just by looking at this Pre-Picture can you guess what the item is?
The explanation is in the Permalink, but be honest with yourself and tell me what exactly did you think this was?

That’s right! It’s a complete kit for the detection of glucose in the blood. I’m gonna go ahead and guess that you thought it was a music device, or maybe a robot control gun. In fact, it’s sole purpose is to normalize the life of a person with diabetes.

It’s inexpensive, works without tearing the skin in a noticeable manner, and it’s really nice and normal to look at. The coolest element that simplifies the process the most is the needle disk: each one contains 50 needles, the process run semi-automatically. No more 20 minute checks for you!
