BMW Blue Dynamics

Posted: 03 Sep 2009 12:07 AM PDT

Richard Jenkins and his Greenbird currently holds the world land speed record for a wind powered vehicle with a speed of 126.1 mph (202.9 km/h). If BMW were to get serious about the Blue Dynamics Land Yacht, I have no doubts that it would probably smash the record. With the killer combination of BMW's "efficient dynamics" and "active hybrid" greener emmision programs; it's hard for Blue Dynamics not to succeed.

Entry to the cockpit of the vehicle is via the elevating windscreen and the rigid sail adjusts according to the wind direction automatically or manually, through the sail control unit inside the cockpit.

I am still drooling over the sexy finish and the luxe interiors.

Scoop or Flip?

These are the choices you get. Don’t like it TOO BAD. That’s what’s up. Although, if you think about it, you usually only get one, single, terrifying choice. That choice is what you have to stick with forever. Because you only buy one long seat like this in your life, and that one single seat is called the “Twist!” Just like Tracy Jordan.

Tuhwist! That’s what you’ll be doing to people’s minds when you whip this one out on them. This lovely bit of furniture is from the fruitful mind of designer Sean Yoo. Sean Yoo whose job it is in life to make beautiful, simple furniture with one extra bit of candy hidden in plain sight.

Sporty Bike

I told you there was this bike conspiracy going on amongst the designers, add the Furious Sports Bike to the list. Dishy in its current avatar; the bike boasts of an aerodynamic design coupled with user-friendly ergonomics. What I really like is the ample display nestled between the handlebars. You get details like the route-map, current bike gear, temperature, time and speed displayed on it. The seat however looks tad uncomfy for me.

Busy Buddy Kibble Nibble Review

Posted: 02 Sep 2009 07:34 AM PDT

This is just one of many upcoming video reviews from an awesome company called Premier and their line of dog toys called Busy Buddy. The Kibble Nibble Food and Treat Dispenser is a hollow ball with openings on each end. The premise is simple. Put food in the ball and give it to Rover. It’s an easy game for any dog to figure out and they love it. It keeps them moving and interactivity is key to a positive doggy state of mind. Hit the jump to see my dog Miko in action!

There isn’t anything I didn’t like about this toy. The plastic is incredibly durable and the purple webbing design is slightly rubber-rized to protect floors. The size is just right for medium to big dogs but I don’t see why little dogs couldn’t enjoy it either. My only suggestion for improvement is to make the rubber prongs in each opening adjustable without having to snip them. They control how much and how fast food dispenses. I made the mistake of cutting too much off and the “game” ends way too soon for my dog.

Not Your Mother’s Wicker

Posted: 02 Sep 2009 07:15 AM PDT

The Chaise Vari pays homage to itinerant weavers in Mexico City whom you can catch creating one of a kind pieces using old school blacksmithing and weaving techniques. The Chaise Vari takes the skills to new levels; more robust and aggressive using modern materials like steel and PVC cords in a variety of colors. Each piece is handmade and fits nicely in any modern decor, definitely not your mother’s wicker. The Chaise Vari is just one part of an exhibition at the Galería Mexicana de Diseño called Exploraciones. Check it out.
